The C64 version is just awful with uninspired music and obscure graphics out of phase with the game. The CPC version is better with the same graphics but not the ugly effects. In contrast, the music is really nice thanks to the great work of David Wittaker. You can just make it go down at once, and that really ruins the gameplay.
The real big problem is that in this first Tetris game from Mirrorsoft, like in the one from Infogrames (and in a lot of Tetris games), is that you can't make slide down the current shape. What's a shame is that they try to add some GFX stuff to justify the 16 bits releases (ST version is exactly the same), and it was not a good idea. This primitive version of Tetris is not so bad.
